Purple is one of the signature colors of Easter and this oversized lilac wallpaper embodies spring. If you’re going big with a statement wall like this one, opt for neutral furnishings and accessories that play a quieter role.

Lola’s request for “painted rainbows” was eschewed in favor of this classic Quadrille wallpaper in her Dallas bedroom. The cotton candy palette is what kids dreams are made of, and we love how the wallpaper pattern is repeated in the fabric bed canopy.

Mint and pomegranate anyone? This kitchen combines pale green-blue cabinets with punchy pomegranate wallpaper and the effect is mouthwatering.

This lovely lavender-washed Charleston bedroom is romantic and sophisticated. Lushly ruffled bedskirts add to the old fashioned charm of classic decorating.

Just because a home is small doesn’t mean it can’t pack a punch. A hutch done in a fondant shade of frosted icing pink comes alive against the iconic Martinique wallpaper in this West Coast pad.

In this English-inspired entry, bold floral wallpaper is amped up by painted olive wainscotting in a color pulled from the print.

A candy striped rug looks Easter appropriate when accented by pale purple walls. Fun art and accessories, such as the air balloon and baskets, are playful additions.

Gracie wallpaper is a classic choice, and designer Nam Dang Mitchell made good use of it in her own Calgary home office. The pale blue sky, twirling tendrils of green and fluttering birds embody spring all year long.

This room’s palette wouldn’t look out of place in an Easter basket. In designer James Davie’s office, it forms an energizing, unexpected combination.

This showhome’s savory mustard kitchen offers a sunny side up start to the day. The color of the country-style kitchen piques the appetite, and is reminiscent of gourmand delights, from sofflés to lemon chiffon cake.

Lilac pops up in many of designer Katherine Newman’s projects and it’s easy to see why. She uses it as a neutral, and we love the way it sets off luxurious materials like warm metal sconces and wood.

Melting, inky shades of blue strike a trippy note in this Toronto powder room and mimic the swirling dye used to dip Easter eggs. The artisanal design has a watery softness with plenty of saturated tones.

A peony pink floral rug, scenic mural and gingham checks feel picnic fresh in this B.C. bungalow bedroom. The room feels like a walk in the country on a spring day.

This fresh green grass doesn’t require any cutting. Benjamin Moore’s Bonsai (CC-666) on the cabinetry and coffered ceiling gives this kitchen a rich, historic look. “It’s a modern version of avocado,” says Nova Scotia-based designer Jonathan Legate.

This stone vanity has an ethereal vibe with its soft rose quartz hue. Above it, floral wallpaper is a spring-inspired addition that continues the lighthearted vibe.

Walls don’t have the do all the heavy lifting when it comes to injecting color. These velvety upholstered pieces are as luscious as Allsorts candy in this wood panelled nook.

Count on designer Colette van Den Thillart to wade bravely into the boldest palettes and punchiest prints. Here she layers icy blue walls with a fresh green rug and a sapphire velvet floor pillow.

Butterflies, baby fawns, batik… oh my. On Christian Lacroix’s pink ‘insect’ wallpaper, psychedelic swirling butterflies float on an exuberant hot pink background.

Want to make yolk-yellow extra electric? Place it in a zig zag pattern and let the sparks fly. Designer Tommy Smythe turns this powder room into a major design moment with this kinetic pattern.

Electric blue never looked so luxe. In this heritage living room, the art matches the jewel-toned sectional for an effect that washes waves of calmness over you.

A heaping spoonful of pink and huge bear make this room an ideal spot for a fairytale and sweet dreams. It’s easy to swap out accessories as this little girl outgrows her teddy.
